About
I'm Ida Maslenko, a visual artist born in Russia and currently based in Galicia, Spain. I've been painting since childhood, but it was in adulthood that I came to understand art not just as a form of expression, but as a way to resist, to heal, and to reconnect with myself. My work focuses on the female body—particularly the plus-size body: strong, grounded, sometimes tender, always courageous. I'm inspired by real women—their curves, their radiance, their moments of doubt, and their endless ability to rebuild themselves. I'm also drawn to intimate spaces, to rituals of self-care, to the quiet gestures that bring us back to who we are. I paint primarily with acrylic on canvas, using warm colors, clean lines, and compositions that invite a direct emotional connection with the viewer. Each piece is a dialogue: between body and spirit, between figure and background, between us. Through my work, I hope to offer more than images—I want to share an idea: that there is no single body that defines beauty, and we don’t need to ask permission to take up space in the world.
